With her keen eye for versatility and a deep understanding of various genres from commercials, drama, comedy, action, vertical film/dramas, documentary, fashion, dance and so much more. She works closely with directors, producers, and writers to bring their creative visions to life.
Liyanne has been apart of some of the most exceptional casting work including ‘If I Ain’t got you’ by Alicia Keys ft Queen Charlotte Global Orchestra, Rumble in the Jungle - the immersive theatre production of the infamous story of Muhammed Ali and George Foreman and This Girl Can ‘Sports England’ commercials.
She has worked and cast multiple productions with Ghetto Film School and the National Television and Film School and cast Feature film ‘Never had a Chance’ - a South Asian Gritty present day story, set in the Punjabi community of Hounslow/Southall, West London.
Her casting credits also include commercial work for Sports Direct, Gay Times Group, Music Videos for Ardee and Ed Sheeran, Britain's Got Talent series 18 where she brought her unique casting style and eye for the TV show. She has been a part of numerous commercial casting projects and worked with brands such as McDonalds, Uber Eats, This Girl Can, Sports Direct, Voltarol, Google, Barbie, Diet Coke and many more.
Liyanne is the 1st UK Casting Director to cast in the vertical film/drama world, an emerging format and her recent credits include ‘Mafia Lover’, ‘Pride & Prejudice’, ‘Loving You From The Football Sidelines’ and “Saving Nora’.
Liyanne’s approach is rooted in her passion for discovering unique, dynamic performers who can adapt seamlessly to diverse roles, ensuring each project has the ideal cast to tell its story authentically. Her relationship with some of the most elite talent & model agents also provides her with access for any project whether it be models, actors, versatile artist's or real people, street casting or even influencers.
She leads casting masterclasses and workshops, driven by the belief that the industry needs more gate-openers, not gatekeepers. By sharing knowledge, experience, and access, she’s committed to empowering the next generation of creatives and fostering a more inclusive, informed industry.
Liyanne prioritises inclusive casting and consistently works at breaking away from stereotypes, to create opportunities for underrepresented communities to see themselves on screen and feel validated. Cultural representation and diversity are essential in the storytelling and Casting for her.
